Purpose:

To help all attendees at KVUUC sponsored services and activities feel welcome and safe.

Policy:

Working Service Animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are welcome at KVUUC.

All other animals, including pets, emotional support animals and non-working service animals, are welcome at KVUUC. However, since animals can present unwelcoming challenges to others, including people with allergies or those with fears of animals in close proximity, we have the following expectations of those who bring animals to KVUUC, both inside and outdoors:

• Keep the animal lose to their owner and harnessed, leashed, tethered, held or otherwise contained

KVUUC reserves the right to ask animal owners to remove the animal from the premises immediately if the animal:

• Disrupts the service.
• Is not in close proximity to the owner.
• Poses a threat to the health or safety of others.
• Is not housebroken.
