Rev. Bill’s Thursday Seminar – April 5

UU History in Depth, Part 4:  “Universalism 1600-1860”
Thursday April 5, 2018 at 7:00pm

This is the story of the lesser know branch of our faith the 3rd Century writings of Origen of Alexandria, to 17th Century England and its roots in Christian mysticism, which lifts up the universal and abundant love of God for all God’s creation.  In America it became an important alternative to “Fire and Brimstone” Puritanism led by John Murray, Judith Sargent Murray, and Hosea Ballou.  Again, the class will be based on a video series titled “Our Long Strange Trip.”

As usual Bill invites you to come at 6:30 to share a vegetarian pizza so long as it lasts.
