Social Justice/Green Sanctuary meetings resume

Good news the Social Justice/Green Sanctuary Team will restart monthly meeting on the third Sundays following service. Our first meeting back will be March 20 at 12:15 to be held both in the sanctuary on via Zoom on the Sunday service link. We will be welcoming new members at that time.

Unitarian Universalists believe that every person is sacred and and that there is an interdependent web of all existence. Further, they believe that when one part of the web is torn or injured all other parts are injured and the web needs to be restored.

Our faith-based approach to enacting justice is based on restoring right relationships with people and the earth.

We also hold that faith-based justice work is more than obtaining and sharing information. It is about transformation. To transform the world, we ourselves need to be transformed — and that is an ongoing process we share at KVUUC.

KVUUC has a joint Social Justice/Green Sanctuary Council due to the highly intertwined nature of these justice ideas in today’s society. This group meets monthly and reviews existing program and requests for new programs to ensure a good fit with our church’s values and mission.

We invite you to enact justice. In the process, you will transform yourself as you transform the world.
