Children’s RE Begins Oct. 8th

Chalice Children

This year the Chalice Children (K – 3rd grade) will be investigating Faithful Journeys. Children embark on a pilgrimage of faith, exploring how Unitarian Universalism translates into life choices and everyday actions. Each lesson includes historic or contemporary examples of UU faith in action. Stories about real people model how children can activate their own personal agency – their capacity to act faithfully as UUs – in their own lives.

Lead Instructors: Maggie Patterson, Becca Wassell, Izze Arens

Time: 11:00 – 12:00       Location: Zendo

Chalice Seekers

The Chalice Seekers (5th – 8th grade) will be learning about Riddle and Mystery. Riddle and Mystery assists children in their own search for understanding. Each lesson introduces and processes a Big Question such as Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going? Does God exist? What happens when you die? Can we ever solve life’s mystery? How can I know what to believe? What does Unitarian Universalism mean to me?

Lead Instructors: Dan Shissler and Kristen Paton

Time: 9:45 – 10:45       Location: Zendo
